it had been a busy last couple of weeks, with the wind down of university. you were rather tired, often spending nights in your boyfriend's apartment due to it being closer to the university you both attended.

the apartment was three bedrooms, where charles and his two brothers all lived. it was a bit of a party when you slept over, and you were certain that arthur was using the shampoo you left there. regardless, you still got a good night's sleep and breakfast in the morning.

dinners were more your forte.

the two men looked at one another and arthur said, "you can't be hogging all the food, charles. you have to share too!"

charles glared at his brother, "my girlfriend is making it! you can make your own. don't you have somewhere else to be tonight?"

you chuckled and got out of your boyfriend's arms to strain the noodles. you couldn't deny, it wasn't a day without interest when you stayed with them. you'd like to say that the three of them got along quite well, but they were all brothers after all.

after dinner, you and charles went to his bedroom, leaving the dishes to be done in the morning. once the door was closed behind you, he started to pull at the bottom of your t-shirt, getting it over your head.

your lips touched his and you started to undo the buttons of his shirt before it was off your shoulders and your hands were splayed across his chest. the kisses were tender, but they were slowly starting to grow more hungry.

he stripped you of your clothes with a little help from you then he was taking his own clothes off. he loved the sight of you by him, in the low light of his bedroom.

the city was alive outside and the lamp on his nightstand cascaded a warm light throughout the room. his hands trailed along your body and you kissed him deeply on the lips. he loved the taste of the chapstick you often wore, he melted a little further into your kisses before he got you onto your back.

We are at the airport!!! I am very excited but also very nervous!!

Today was a lot of that. Nerves. Excitement. Not sure what to do with my hands. It was a good day. I slept okay. Had bizarre dreams but nothing that upset me. James had work for a few hours in the morning so I woke up alone.

I made the bed and then came up with a plan. I would dye my hair and take a shower. I would go to target and grab some last minute things. Snacks. New chapstick (I lost mine at the festival yesterday). Kitty litter so we could leave with a completely clean box. I wanted to make sure the house was nice for when Callie came to take care of the animals, so I also made sure that all the tanks were full and everything was in place.

I really should have gone to target first. But I started putting dye in my hair and there wasn't any going back from that. I would put dye on my hair and walk around the house double checking things. I also went through my luggage again and made sure everything was charging so it would be good for the flight.

Eventually I would run the dishwasher and go and start the shower. And for some reason that has worked getting the shower hotter faster (the dishwasher is probably using the water faster? Something like that anyway.) and I washed my hair and scrubbed and scrubbed to feel as clean as possible.

My hair actually would dry really nicely. I did not wait for it to be dry before I left for target though. Just put it in a clip and was off.

According to the cashier everyone was waking up and coming from church. Because while it wasn't busy when I first got there it was very busy by the time I was leaving.

I stuck to my list though. I got new chapstick, and a solid cuticle oil. My finger tips have been splitting and are really painful. I got cleaning spray for our bathtub and two bags of kitty litter. I got snacks. Various ones. Sweets and savories. I got hot honey cashews which seemed intriguing. I will probably save those for the layover because I don't want to accidently make anyone with nut allergies to have a reaction in a closed space. But I got rice Krispies and a chocolate bar and mini tates cookies, and some mints. A good variety.

My last thing was to try James over the ear headphones. The ones they ordered weeks ago never shipped. Stuck in limbo. The selection at target for until $100 ones was pretty abysmal but they had one that was made for kids and I thought would work (and thankfully they did fit!). The nice man who worked electronics had to unlock the case for me and he was very busy and pulled in all directions. But he stopped and helped me and then offered to check out all of my order so I didn't have to wait in the very long line at the front. I appreciate him greatly for that.

He called security so they would know I was coming from the other side of the store with my purchases and they wouldn't stop me. And I went home.

James has arrived home from work right after I had left. They had spent the time I was gone putting stuff away and tidying up. Getting the last of the stuff in their bags together. And I would jump on that too.

I sat upstairs figuring out how to fit all my snacks in my backpack. Double checking I had everything I wanted in cabin in that bag. I moved some stuff around and tried to make sure everything was good to go. My hair was mostly dry and the dye took really well. I will probably wash it two more times before the wedding on Saturday so it should fade just a little and will look really good, fingers crossed.

On the day of travel I like to only use products and things that I am bringing with me. So I know I will be okay with what I packed and not wishing I had something else. So my hair only has conditioner and hair oil and that is what I will have to live with. Being in a different climate I am hoping it stays looking nice.

We decided we would go to the diner for a late lunch to have our "last American meal" (outside the airport). And we left to go do that before 2.

I would get French toast and french fries. James got a patty melt. We spent most of the meal on our phones researching. I read the Wikipedia for Uganda. We double checked about bag sizes. And we realized our bags were probably to heavy to be carry ons. They were the right dimensions but we're probably to heavy. We would figure that out once we got to the airport.

We ended up leaving an hour earlier then planned. When we got back we had measured the bags and I would lay down. My allergies were really bad. Sweetp was a little distressed that we were leaving. Which makes him puff up and makes my allergies very bad. But I enjoyed just laying in bed and feeling cozy.

But at 430 we decided to go. And that ended duo being perfect. We had no stress.

As we were leaving our other neighbors we're coming home so we stopped to let them know we were going to be out of the country. And then James forgot their cost and had to go back for in it. But then we were off and on the road.

It's an hour and a half to the airport. This is the Dulles airport in Virginia so a little far but not bad. And we got here without much trouble. When we arrived at 6 we realized our parking checking in was for 7 and got nervous but it still let us scan in and we got a very good spot. We were both sweaty nervous but it ended up being super easy.

First we went and used the bathrooms and I had a very weird experience. It was a very large bathroom. Lots of stalls. No one else was in there. I go in and a lady comes in on my heels and goes to the stall next to me. Makes a ton of noise spinning the toilet paper. I was quick. And as soon as I came out she followed me on my heels again. Doesn't flush I don't think she actually used the bathroom. She almost crashed into me at the sink. I took my time to see if she would leave first. She doesn't. She waits until I'm walking out to finish drying her hands. Almost walks into me again but walks away when I get back to James. It was absolute weirdo behavior. Jess thinks she was trying to pickpocket me but Jane's had my bags and phone and it just made me feel weird.

But we moved in and went to the ticket counter to get our seats changed. Which is when they also weighed our bags and they decided they were to heavy to be carry ons. And honestly it's for the best. we can be much more hands free. And she was just really nice. Made us feel like everything was going to be good.

I wasn't sure what kind of tsa they would have. But they had us take nothing from the bags and we made it through super easy. Though my boobie set off the machine? Hilarious.

My little sewing scissors did make it through too! I will be able to embroider on the flight. I also have my bracelet making stuff. I am ready for the long haul.

Besides crafts I also have a ton of YouTube videos and music and podcasts and books and audio books. Way more then I need but it will be really nice to have the variety.

Once we got through TSA we could be a little calmer. It was the first big test. We will still have the layover and then customs but the first hurtle is done and we did great.

We would walk to the train car to the terminal. And we were laughing and having fun and it has been a really nice time. This is a nicer airport then I remember from when we flew into it from our honeymoon.

We would get dinner. James got a corn dog and I got a pizza that I would share with James. And we have been sitting at our gate for a bit now. It will be time to board soon.

No one else from our party is here yet but they are at the airport somewhere. Hopefully through TSA soon.

I am nervous and excited. The first leg is 10 hours. And we will arrive in Turkey at 3pm tomorrow. I will probably wait to do tomorrow's post until the second flight and post it when we land. Which if my math is right will be 11pm Monday home time. Let's hope that works !!

I have moved to a new place, which means going through some very, very old boxes of mine. Here's some running commetary I did for some of it on Twitter

Photo 1: When I was a little lass, I used to buy these chapsticks called Lipsmackers. They came in a zillion different flavors. I used to bite them like candy. To be fair they really, really marketed them as if they were candy. They made many of the caps with a hole in them so you could wear the chapstick on a necklace chain for some reason (which I did).

Why do I still have them? Well when I got older and stopped eating these things, I still liked to use them like a normal human, but also just to smell them, they were very nice smelling. They. Do Not smell nice anymore but that is to be expected. It's been a while.

Anyway that's a very weird product from the past, the joy of collecting all the flavors and wearing them on a necklace was just as much a part of the process as actually using them, they made every single one a unique color and I think that was to appeal to Collectors. Like I got legit so excited when I went to the store and saw New flavors. And the glittery-colored ones were like cracking open a pack of cards to find a Foil, lol

Photo 2: So while I was reminiscing about lip gloss, I discovered the company STILL EXISTS (I assumed they were long dead, as many fads of the 90s go). So I bought a new pack for old time's sake! They're . . . not as good smelling or as tasty as I remember them being, but they probably have changed the formula in the time span of a couple decades, to be fair.

Photo 3-4: I just wanted to say this is peak cell phone design and I miss it. I got to play Snakebar, feel like I was using a Star Trek TOS communicator, I didn't have the incredibly depressing Entire Internet with me 24/7, it actually fits into even women's pockets, it has physical buttons, I see no downsides here.

Photo 5-6: A selection of some of my Littlest Pet Shop collection from when I was a kiddo. They are vastly superior to modern Littlest Pet Shop toys, and it saddens me that kids won't get to enjoy sets like these anymore. Not only do these things actually look like animals, but the attention to detail is incredible and they are functional toys. The frogs can 'leap' with a catapault. The mice can navigate a maze with a cheese that has a magnet in it. The chamelion changes color in warm water. They all did things. And they all came with accessories (food, brushes, cat litter boxes, etc) and playsets.

This was the duality of a tomgirl who also happened to like Very Small Cute Things. So pretty much my toys were either typical "boy's toys" or they were Cute and Small (Littlest Pet Shop, My Little Pony, Polly Pocket, etc). I didn't like dolls except I did some have Barbies as a VERY tiny tot, but it was because I loved Barbie's Tiny Plastic accessories (tiny plastic shoes, food, whatever) more than the actual dolls, lol

Photo 8: Holy shit you guys I loved Giga Pets so much as a kid. This is a selection of some of them. (Well actually one of the ones in the photo is a Nano Pet) Giga Pets were a very popular spinoff of the Tamagotchi craze. Sadly these Giga Pets have sat too long in storage and their screens are pretty much fried, despite the fact that they otherwise seem functional; but it won't do much good if I can't see them properly. (If I tilt the screen at a really intense angle I can make out the display sometimes) I liked Giga Pets more than Tamagotchi because the Giga Pets had way more features and interesting things to do, as well as a wide selection of animal types. Sadly they are no longer in production.

Fun story, the pink Giga Pet in that photo is a Koala. I kept one alive for 100 consecutive days one time. That's an incredibly long time for a Giga Pet. Once he turned 100, we had a birthday party for him with a cake and everything. Not long after that, he died because the batteries got too low. I felt very sad when he departed.

I used to wear these things on a chain around my neck and went everywhere with them. So I had like 3 or 4 of these things hanging off me quite a lot. Again, I was pretty intense with my hyperfixations even as a kid, and I had a strong Collector sort of craving. I had Digimon as well, btw! I enjoyed the battle aspect to them, as primitive as it was. I wonder where the rest of my virtual pet stash is.

Photo 9: The first home computer our family had, the reliable little Macintosh SE. SOMEHOW, when I got this thing out of storage and flipped the switch, it fucking booted up without any problems. I can't tell you how intensely wild that is, this thing is incredibly old and so many things can go wrong with its parts at this age.

A lot of fond memories with this thing. I spent a LOT of time with Hypercard, making my own stacks and games. Played a lot of the original Manhole too. I know for a lot of folks, their first home computer was an Atari, but I grew up with Macs. Back then they were actually wonderful machines, though modern Mac products now leave much to be desired.

The entire door of my freezer is packed with frozen breast milk from when Freya was a newborn that is now too old to donate, but I can’t bring myself to throw it away for a combination of reasons (some women can’t produce milk! It’s ~liquid gold! It came from my body so I’d be flushing my own nutrients down the drain!) so I decided to finally make soap out of it.

However, the soap base that I bought is like $20 for 2lb and that’s only going to use up like 2 cups of milk, so I decided to look for other products. I found a lotion recipe and a chapstick recipe too, then decided against the chapstick but forgot to take the cocoa butter back out of my Amazon cart.

So now I have: a huge container of grape seed oil, a huge bag each of cocoa butter and beeswax.

The soap base was of course the only item that got delayed so I started with the lotion recipe. I’m not sure if I fucked it up by adding in the cocoa butter, or if the cup measure I thought was a third cup was actually a quarter cup, but it turned out super runny and kept separating. I tried to add in more beeswax but I was scared to reheat the whole thing because I didn’t want my whole kitchen to smell like cooked human milk 😬

So now I have a quart. A QUART of weird lotion that can’t be applied normally. So last night I thought “well, why not add it to my bath? If I make the water hot enough it should melt the wax and cocoa butter.”

I mean. It “worked”, though there were tiny chunks of cocoa butter that I had to scrape off the bathtub after, but it also left me coated in a layer of waxy slime like a babybel cheese, and smelling uncomfortably like chocolate and old baby clothes (I forgot I don’t actually like the smell of cocoa butter 🙁)

I also slathered my feet in it and put on socks, which was a sensory nightmare.

But after slipping and sliding around the bed all night I do have to admit the smell is gone and my skin does feel delightful, so I guess I’ve found a way to use it up . And I’ll stick to soap for the rest of it.

i’m so glad i brought that bag bc it ended up being what carried all of my friends jackets hoodies chapstick etc etc and anelle’s APPLES AND CAREOTS. lily’s chocolate donut melted tho and got all over the bottom of the bag 😞 don’t rlly care tho bc it wasn’t that bad lmfao

we started off by eating (i managed to hold back 😎 but the shit there was looking mighty tasty) and got kicked out of the gym for being lazy bums 🥲 never again. then we did sack racing where ava fell and decided to take lily down with her and lily ended up getting a KILLER scratch

ok fast forward for a bit so anelle lily and i went inside to take her to the nurses or at least get it cleaned and when she rolled up the first legging we were like oh oh that’s not too bad bc it wasn’t not even a scratch was there but when she pulled up the other oh my god i physically cringed there wasn’t any blood but her skin was practically torn off it was just a layer of pink

back to the original storyline maiya cheated and ran the rest lmfao but then we went to watch video games and that room fucking stank oh my god. it had me and my friends gagging like crazy i couldn’t do it anymore like i genuinely didn’t stay in there for more than a minute. i tried mouth breathing but it had a TASTE. we resorted to going to the water balloon toss but was too late so we messed around with the kiddie pool left after the event. aubrey anelle and ava were pushing each other in and out of that stupid pool and trying to dump water on the rest of us. i partook in it a LITTLE bit when i chased maiya down with a wet sock but i forfeited 😔 aubrey fears nobody tho bc she was screaming “AVAmS TOUCHING ME IN MY PRIVATE OARTS!!!” and ava responded by basically doing the same thing

we then tried doing musical chairs but they packed it up early so we just ended up eating some snacks or whatever then did face paint. i painted lola and anelle’s faces with purple minions and in return anelle gave me a PINK minion (???) so we were the minion gang. if any of us seperated from the other we looked real stupid ngl 😓 aubrey and ava and sarah did batman robin and alfred… aubrey’s mask was only filled in halfway and to distinguish ava’s mask they put a big fat R on her forehead 💀 sarah had a mustache and forehead wrinkles. rissa and kinsley gave each other cute flowers and maiya gave lily a decent hello kitty. btw we only had 2 minutes each to paint each other’s faces 🥲

we then chilled in the bleachers at the stadium for like an hour or something. eventually me ava and sarah were the three “over” musketeers: overstimulated, overheated, and overwhelmed. so we went inside and hung out in the hallway by the applied algebra classroom until the assembly

My vitamins are working + being patient with myself with regard to health care

I tested for various nutritional deficiencies back in February and went over my test results in March. Ever since I got my results, I've been taking a multivitamin and magnesium supplement. I can see myself sticking to my multivitamin supplement, but I'm still deciding on a magnesium supplement I can see myself sticking to (whether it's the one I'm currently using or a different one). I'll figure it out. I also started taking some chlorella for some omega 3 and heavy metal chelation. Again I'm new to supplementation, so I don't want to bombard myself with a ton of supplements as a beginner. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to taking care of my health, so taking small steps at a time will really pay off. At least I started somewhere.

So here are the signs my multivitamins are working:

My hair is shinier, smooth, and less dry.

My nails don't break anymore.

My angular cheilitis disappeared.

My eczema is better (I do get some dryness on my hands and mouth but it isn't as bad as it used to be, but I feel it's more so due to dehydration, washing my hands a lot, picking my lip skin, and not moisturizing nor applying chapstick as I get lazy).

My mouth feels less dry (thanks to zinc)

I have less sugar cravings (any junk food cravings for that matter. I took a week off last week from work and had every opportunity to go out and buy some junk food or eat a lot of chocolate. I just didn't feel like it. And I'm back to working full-time and come home tired. I still take the time to prep and cook something healthy. I don't want junk food at all, especially sweet stuff. This is probably one of the best changes I've seen from this supplement).

I am less dizzy when I move my head (iron deficiency).

My teeth aren't sensitive when I drink cool water.

I am in a better mood and feel less depressed and more optimistic and more inclined to take care of my health.

I'm sure there are a ton of internal things happening inside my body. But they're hard to identify since they are not tangible like the above 9 points.

These are very promising. I'm still working on correcting my deficiencies and want to do a retest a month or so from now. At least I am taking measures to take care of my health now. It's a lot of hard work and several small steps going ahead, I should not stress myself. At least I started somewhere, In the future when I gain more knowledge on full body health, this will be a breeze., But I just started now so I should not be hard on myself. But the initial efforts will pay off.

And I'm sure there are like-minded people out there like me (doctors and health care professionals) who will know how I feel and understand everything and share my sentiments when it comes to health. I just need to take a break and work on myself, then I will look around for the perfect match of a doctor.

✂︎ in all honesty, it never really crossed inui’s mind that there was something a bit...off about the way his beloved s/o seemed to always have everything that one could possibly need, and seemingly a moment’s notice as well. it wasn’t like he usually asked you for things, (just the occasional chapstick or a hair clip to pin his hair back) so he never really knew the extent of everything you seemed to have.

✂︎ at first, he had just figured that you were the type of person to carry a lot of things with you because you liked to be prepared, and it was something that he could appreciate. he thinks it’s a good thing to be prepared, and especially whenever you seem to pull a first aid kit out of nowhere when he gets hurt.

✂︎ it isn’t really until he notices that you had pulled out an entire toblerone chocolate bar from your pocket that he starts to think that, ‘huh, that’s kinda weird.’. he’ll probably give you a weird look, but he’s just gonna decide to ignore it for now.

✂︎ the second time he sees it in action is when he notices you and koko talking, and just as he’s about to ask what’s going on, you literally pull out an entire phone, still in the box and everything, handing it to koko with a smile. he’ll just stand there for a bit, wondering where you got a new phone from, and more importantly, how did that box fit in your pocket? again, he’s not going to say anything, but he’s starting to get pretty curious about it now.

✂︎ the third time it happens is when the two of you are sitting on a bench in the park, looking at the small pond in front, (as well as the cute family of ducks there). all of a sudden, you were tossing something out onto the water, and as inui looked closer, is that...duck food? looking back at you, you just have a container of duck food next to you that came out of literally nowhere.

“(y/n), where did you get that from…?”

“oh, this? it was in my pocket!”

“...what? how was that in your pocket?”

“hm, not sure?”

✂︎ he’s a bit perplexed by your answer, i mean, you could you not know? it was literally your own pockets? however, he decided to not think too much about it and figured that if you really didn’t know, then it was probably something way beyond his comprehension. he’s never really going to stop being curious about it, so he might ask you a couple times to just pull random things out of your pockets just to see if you can.

✂︎ from then on, he might ask you for random things whenever the two of you are out, and he won’t even bother bringing anything with him because he knows that you have it. this especially goes for whenever you’re visiting him at the bike shop; he might just ask you for a certain part or tool that he needs while he’s working on something, and you’ll just dig it out from your pocket and hand it over to him, (draken watching the two of you like, ‘????’).

chifuyu matsuno:

✂︎ i feel like chifuyu is one to always be forgetting something whenever he goes out, whether it’s something really important or something small. it could be that he left his phone charging in his room, or that he left his chapstick on his nightstand, but he’ll just always be forgetting something, which leads to him missing it for the rest of the day.

✂︎ because of this, you’ll probably just hand him whatever he forgot that day, telling him that he can keep it. the first time it happened, it was because he left his chapstick, so when you handed him a brand new one and told him to keep it, he just figured that it was something that you had bought and gave to him because he needed one, (he felt a little bad about it though). the second time he forgot something, it was his algebra homework that he had left laying on his desk the night before. he’d been lowkey freaking out about it because he spent a lot of time on it, but then you suddenly handed him the sheets of paper and he’s like, ‘how do you have this??’. he’s really confused, but he’ll let it go after a day of wondering.

✂︎ honestly, it will probably take him a while to finally ask you about how you seem to have everything in your pockets. each time he sees you pull something random out of your pockets, he’s even more perplexed, wondering how you have all that space inside your pockets. was it some kind of new jean brand?

✂︎ if even you don’t know how you’re doing it, then he isn’t really going to try to figure out how. he kind of thinks about it like takemitchy’s time traveling: he has no idea how it works, and even as insane as it is, he’s not going to question it. he’s just decided to not question anything anymore, although he is a bit jealous that the universe didn’t decide to give him these cool powers too.

✂︎ he’ll probably tell takemitchy and have you demonstrate in front of you, and they’ll both just be staring at you in awe as you pull out everything they asked you to from your pockets. you three have become the team of, ‘the two people with strange abilities and the other guy who’s there’.

✂︎ baji is definitely the kind of boyfriend to always be asking you for hair ties, even if you don’t have long hair. he always tries to keep some on his wrist, but they end up getting lost or getting used as something to play with kittens, so he’s always needing more, and of course, you’re his supplier. whenever he asks you for a hair tie, you always have one in your pocket. at first, he just thought that he would stuff a bunch in there because of the way he would always ask, so he never really questioned it.

✂︎ sure, does he think it’s a little strange how you had an entire three pack of gum in your pocket? yeah, but you had probably just gone to the store and gotten it. does he think it’s odd that you had pulled out an entire first aid kit from your pocket? perhaps, but maybe you just liked to be prepared? in each of these instances, he’ll just be watching you with a weird look on his face because he didn’t actually see you pull it from your pocket, but you just suddenly had them, so where the hell did they come from?

✂︎ he’s truly baffled by this, and he might ask you a couple times where you get all of these random things from, and he’s a little bit annoyed and confused about your vague answers; is it really that bad for you to tell him? he’s not really angry or anything, he just wants to know what kind of stunt you’re pulling to try and freak him out. it stays like that for a while, with him thinking that you’re trying to pull a fast one.

✂︎ no, it isn’t until he watches you pull out an entire bag of cat food from your pocket that he’s thinking, ‘what the fuck’. was this where you had been getting all that random shit from? your pocket?

✂︎ after that, it’s still going to take some getting used to for him to not throw you a weird look everytime it happens. now that he knows, he’s going to make sure that nobody else finds out because he’s thought of this complete tragedy that you would get kidnapped and people would force you to pull out different things from your pockets, so he’s going to be strangely aggressive whenever somebody asks about how you pull things out of nowhere.

“they’re just a really prepared person!! stop getting into their business, would ya?!”
